Information Design Journal – Call for Papers

Dear Colleague,

This message invites you to

Peter Simlinger

Peter Simlinger, IDJ Editor and IIIDre Managing Director

contribute an article to a special issue of the Information Design Journal (IDJ) vol. 22.1 which is planned to have a focus on traffic & transport information design. It will be the second special issue on the theme after IDJ 17.2

In case you are not familiar with the IDJ – published by John Benjamins, Amsterdam – you can find details here.

For your further information: After finalization of Vol. 20 in late 2013, Dr Carla G. Spinillo, Federal University of Parana, Brazil, has stepped in as the journal’s General Editor.

Every issue of the IDJ has three to four (in rare cases even five) double-blind peer reviewed articles. You may download details on how to submit from here.

Additional sections:

If space permits, the IDJ also has one – or more than one – additional section:

  • Research & Design Watch (covering reviews of information design specific articles published elsewhere)
  • Book Reviews
  • Hot Topics in Information Research and Design (usually on invitation only).

Contributions to these sections are not peer-reviewed. They are included at the discretion of the Editor.

  • Submission: Entries for the additional sections you are asked to pass on to me personally – at

In case you are ready to contribute to IDJ 22.1 please submit
at your earliest convenience but not later than 15 May this year

In case my invitation has reached you at too short a notice we possibly could negotiate an extension of the deadline.

IDJ 22.1 is planned to be published in early 2016.

Kind regards,

Peter Simlinger
